Phillip Don't Fail Me Now

I. Hate. Winter.

The Knight insists I suffer from
SAD, he's obviously mistaken though. I mean, it couldn't get any clearer that what I, indeed, suffer from is "God-dammit-man-why-do-you-force-me-to-live-so-far-from-the-f'ing-equator" disorder. To be known as GDMWDYFMTLSFFTFE-D from here on out. Obviously.

He's quick to remind me that we have passed the winter solstice and are furthermore on the down-hill swing of this winter stuff. I'm quick to shove snow down his pants and ask him how the down-hill swing feels now.

The other day I snapped at The Pea - more than once. I let The Princess watch too much TV. And I did nothing that even remotely resembled housework or schoolwork or finding work work. I did no work.

I. Hate. Winter.

Today, February 2nd - aka Groudnhog's Day,
Punxsutawney Phil did NOT see his shadow. Which according to german folklore (I'm german - there must be some truth to this!!!) means that we can expect an early spring. Halle-freakin-lujah!

Phil better not be pulling my chain, because if he is... I do have a shot gun and I can find out where he sleeps. Damn rodent.

Mmmm..I dunno. I live TOO close to the equator and it's summer 3/4 of the year down here. And this lovely global warming crap has made this winter the warmest one yet.

I'd LOVE to see the seasons change but alas, we hardly have that either unless you count your grass turning brown because of our frequent dry spells.
